  personality.     a   kind   and   well-mannered woman , clawdia is often regarded as one of the more   approachable   members of ishgardian high society. she doesn't discriminate based on social status or origin, making her also quite   compassionate  .on top of her good nature, clawdia is also   charismatic  ,   sociable  , and   well-spoken   as a result of attending many functions and interacting with a variety of people. this helps in dealing with her clients and those she is unfamiliar with.as with every individual, she is not perfect. she is known to be   impulsive  , always jumping into things head-first without thinking long about it. as a result of being in ishgard almost her whole life, she is also rather   naive  , which can and has led to her being scammed or accidentally offending.

LORE : origin .

Clawdia Dupuis, originally born with the name Zaina Keha, was born on the 31st Sun of the 5th Umbral Moon to Najwa and Dahab'li Keha in the Coerthas Central Highlands. From birth until she was around 5 months old, she lived with the Keha clan, her parents desiring for her to grow up to become one of the strongest huntresses and possibly the matriarch of the clan once she was of age.Unfortunately, the Keha clan met their demise on a pilgrimage to the Mark of the Lover. All but Clawdia and the matriarch, Sio Keha, were viciously slaughtered by a pack of highland wolves who caught them by surprise.

After the massacre, Sio took Clawdia to Camp Dragonhead and left her beside a warm fireplace, hopeful that one of the many Ishgardians who passed through would take her in as one of her own. Sio placed her bracelet into young Clawdia's hands as a final good-bye before leaving Coerthas for good.About 2 suns later, Lord Porteur Dupuis and Lady Cyne Dupuis found baby Clawdia in Camp Dragonhead and fell in love with her immediately. They took her back home to Ishgard and adopted her, giving her the name   Clawdia.

During A Realm Reborn, Clawdia is primarily adjusting to Ishgard's new freezing climate, sewing heavy-duty clothes for her parents and for the people in the Brume. At first, it's all charity work, but eventually she comes up with the idea to sell insulated, yet fashionable clothing to the nobles. It's here that she began her business and it's goal: to sell to the rich and give to the poor...clothing wise, of course.Due to Ishgard being closed to outsiders, Clawdia had to venture past Ishgard's gates to purchase her supplies from wandering merchants in Camp Dragonhead. It's here that she would learn from Ser Haurchefant about the happenings of the realm and how a certain adventurer is making waves across Eorzea. This is how she learns about the Warrior of Light and just how isolated Ishgard is from the rest of the realm. She wanted to help, but instead opted to stay behind Ishgard's gates, especially since she wasn't a fighter...

...Until Vishap threatened her and her family's safety. Worried about what may come after, the miqo'te took leave of Ishgard for a few months, wishing to learn an art that would help her protect those she held dear. One day, she came across a seeker in vermilion, and he, seeing potential in her, aught her to wield red magicks.When she returned home, she began practicing her spells, knowing that some day soon she may need to defend herself and her home.If only she knew just how much she'd   sacrifice   to do so.
